Make-A-Wish Trip part 3..... (Tuesday)

Hello Everyone...

Are you all ready for part 3??? I hope so because I sure am ready to share it with you...

While mom let me sleep in (8a.m. EST), she stepped outside to enjoy the beautiful morning with her cup of coffee & my camera.

One thing I really miss living in Tehachapi in our house is a dryer. We had one here in our villa, so mom always heated my clothes up in the morning, & sometimes my pj's at night with my blankets.

Since mom let me sleep in this morning, we had to rush to get to the Castle of Miracles to see Sponge Bob. I was excited & awake, but waiting in a long line to see Sponge Bob I fell back to sleep. So, I was asleep in line off & on, but sound asleep when I saw Sponge Bob. I stayed asleep through breakfast too at the Gingerbread House. While we were out, the vest arrived (Yay!). I got my treatment before heading out to see Sponge Bob at Universal Orlando, then Dr. Seuss and his gang at Island Adventures. Oh, it's gorgeous today. Yay!

Off to Universal Orlando & Island Adventures we went. Well, it's not as easy as it sounds, even with a GPS. The GPS kept sending us on a wild goose chase, so mom gave up after she tried those directions twice. She pulled out her ATT phone & used the navigator. Plus, she decided to go to the second exit for Universal. So after 40 minutes of driving around in circles, we finally made it there. It was right there next to the second offramp. So easy, so close, but GPS just couldn't handle it....

The Guest Assistance Card is my magic pass for special treatment, and it sure does work!

What a cool place. We are going to Universal Orlando first since that is where Sponge Bob is... Remember, I was asleep when I saw him this morning at the village, so I need to see him awake!
It might be a cool place, but difficult to navigate. Once we got specific directions on how to get to Sponge Bobs home,  we headed that way stopping to visit with characters, parades, and more characters.

Dora the Explorer, Diego, Marilyn Menroe

How cool was that... It did delay us in getting to Sponge Bob, but it was so worth it. I got to see all those characters. The employee with one of them made sure I saw all that were around there. Super neat! I am heading down the path to Sponge Bob's place, which isn't too much further now.

Yay! I finally made it to Sponge Bob's place, but Sponge Bob was out to lunch, so I went inside his store to shop while I wait.  (Taken before we left this area of the park, so after I shopped & saw Sponge Bob...)

------

We saw Patrick walking through the store back to the photo spot, so Mom had the lady at the register hold my items so I could go to Patrick. Guess what? I really LIKE Patrick! He was so funny..

After seeing Patrick, I went and bought my stuff.  Then mom took me to the restroom to put my new top on for when I see Sponge Bob. It's a really nice Sponge Bob shirt.  Afterwards, Sponge Bob still wasn't back & I was getting tired & agitated, but after a little while longer, he showed up.

Mom took my tray off, so I wasn't too keen on that, but Sponge Bob did get to see my shirt. I was tired, & the lights were more soothing.

After seeing Sponge Bob, mom looked at the map to see if anyone else was around. There wasn't, & since it was late afternoon already & I wanted to get to Dr. Seuss over at Island Adventures before they turned in for the night, mom realized we needed to make our way over there. Well, we didn't get very far before we saw the whole Sponge Bob gang, so of course, I had to stop & say hello to everyone. This lady employee made sure I saw everyone. She was so nice!

When I got to Squidward, the employee handling his meet n greets with kids saw me, and signaled that it would just be a minute. mom said, "no problem. we are in no hurry". Well, Squidward kept pointing to me like "she is next". He kept getting more and more demanding as she let two families see him before me, and Squidward wasn't agreeing with that.

Part of the Sponge Bob gang.. There were about 4-5 of them on skates, and one of them wanted to get all of them together to see me and get a group photo.  I had to wait for the one to chase the others down as they were pretty spread out.

Bye Sponge Bob....

After seeing Curious George, we were almost to the exit, but then someone asked if we had seen this little parade and characters. My answer was no, so we stayed to watch and meet these characters...

After visiting with the characters, and it didn't look like any others were around, we decided to leave for Island Adventures. Guess what??? We ran into Shrek, the Simpsons, and Back to the Future guy. Then, while we were with them, we saw the Sponge Bob gang out again behind us, so mom thought I should see Sponge Bob again; this time maybe awake.

Good-bye Universal Orlando. We are now getting ready to exit this park, walk through Universal Citywalk to Island Adventures Land...

We made it. The colors are so cool in Dr. Seuss Landing... Love it!

As I waited for the Dr. Seus show to start, I visited with the Grinch and Sam-I-Am.. An employee there told me to wait about 15-20 minutes after the show and she would get all the characters together for a private photo shoot. Wow!

So, I used that time for a nap.

The show was really fun to watch. And meeting every character before and afterwards, plus a group photo - I am one lucky girl. Not many get this opportunity.

Dr. Seuss is showing me his autograph...

I woke up with Thing 1 & Thing 2. They were fun, and I really liked them.

Mom & I, well me, did some shopping.. These shops
are so neat. Before leaving the park to go back to GKTW,
we checked out Dr. Seuss Landing. It is such a cool place. Ya know, this getting dark early stuff really cuts into my day, not to say the time change makes it any better. Although, I am handling it quite well.

We got back to GKTW Village, and driving down the road heading to our villa, I smiled, giggled and was so excited to be back. Not after being here two full days yet, I already recognize this place - I love it here! I was also excited to go to Mayor Clayton’s Birthday Party
on the Avenue of Angels House of Hearts Stage.
When I got to my villa, I had a present on the table waiting for me. :) It was a stuffed Mayor Clayton rabbit.

We got to Avenue of Angels early, so we went into the lobby of the office (House of Hearts). It really is a neat place with so many Christmas lights, just very festive.

Mayor Clayton being driven in to the party. He is covering his eyes as its a surprise.

I was really tired, so that meant I was touchy and agitated, but I still enjoyed being outside after dark. There were lots of lights and party music.  We went to go get ice cream, but I just wasn't in the mood for it, so we went back to our villa.

ice cream parlor...

More later.. So cool! Mom gave me a bath in my jacuzzi tub. I layed in the water, relaxing. I haven't been in a tub of water (or pool) since before I broke my leg. I was a little nervous (in-secure) at times, but still enjoyed it. I used the strawberry ice cream flavored shampoo, vanilla ice cream flavored conditioner and bodywash that was here for me when I arrived. :)

After I got my pajamas on, I got into bed with Mickey and Cubby. We watched Sponge Bob and Fairly Odd Parents on my iPad before going to sleep. It was good to relax this evening (late Florida time, but still early for Cali time) since I had a big day tomorrow, and we were getting up early.

Love,
Kayla
